Despite my desire to be Martha Stewart Mom and turn Joey into an adorable little dalmation for his first memorable Halloween, I couldn't resist Elephant Joe, a Hail Mary costume from Grandma Hueter. We had two Halloween parties--a parade at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and trick-or-treating at Dad's work. Joey also carved his first Jack o' Lantern with me. Here are a few pics of Halloween 2009.

So cute! Why on earth would you want to make your own costume? Just being able to deal with pumpkin mess is sacrifice enough :)
