OK, so these blog posts seem to be coming on about the same schedule as final exams - once a semester. And in our current semester we definitely left the intro classes behind and went straight for the advanced curriculum. So let me bring you up to speed. Our protagonist, Joe Willie, is 7 1/2 months old. In his short time, he has accomplished much. An abridged version of the highlights follows (is "abridged highlights" redundant?) Joey has:
- acquired a bigger wardrobe than most upper east side society women
- starred in his own calendar shoot
- celebrated Halloween with 3 different costumes
- developed two massive cheeks
- hosted a tacky sweater party
- watched the Steelers win the Super Bowl
- flown more times in his life than his Grandma Kerner (4 to 3)
- apres skiied in Vail
- had a book autographed by Coach K
- found a wingman in his friend Jude to help him pick up chicks at the library
- developed a fleeting vocabulary of words that sound plausibly similar to "yellow", "boof", "Wawa", and "Bob"
- grown a mouthful of teeth - 7 and counting
- and within the last week or so, rolled, crawled, and pulled himself up on his feet all over what we formerly believed to be our generously-sized apartment
Very abridged, indeed. Needless to say, JW keeps us hopping. More frequent updates (the bar is low) including pictures and video to come soon (which is a relative term.)

I have this vision that when Joe turns 13 he's going to read these back posts and be all, "I've got joe willie RIGHT HERE."
In fact, the thought is cracking me up so much that I might teach it to him before that. Who can say?
